Spanish Youngster Made His Own Prosthetic Arm of Lego Bricks

David Aguilar (19), who was born with no right forearm because of a rare genetic disorder, made himself a robotic arm of Lego bricks.

Aguilar, who studies bio-engineering at the University in Spain, was already made few version of prosthetic forearms and his dream is to design affordable robotic limbs for those who need it.

He made his first “hand” when he was just nine years old, and each new version had more mobility than the previous one.

“As a child I was very nervous to be in front of other guys, because I was different, but that didn’t stop me believing in my dreams,” Agilar said. “I wanted to … see myself in the mirror like I see other guys, with two hands,” he added.

All versions are displayed in his room at a university residence on the outskirts of Barcelona.

The latest models are labeled as MK, as a tribute to the superhero Iron Man and its MK armor suits.

Talking about plans after the university, he told that he want to create affordable prosthetic solutions to all people in need.

“I would try to give them a prosthetic, even if it’s for free, to make them feel like a normal person, because what is normal, right?”, Aguilar added at the end of the interview.

What a guy!

New WRC 8 Arrives at Fall 2019

The Bigben company has released great news for all racing game enthusiasts who are waiting for the arrival of the new WRC game in September this year. The official World Rally Championship (WRC) game, which will make return of the franchise after a two-year absence.

Bigben released an official trailer and a couple of photos that allow us to see how will it looks like. The game will be available for PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

It “covers” the full season 2019 and will include all WRC teams, drivers and cars. Players will enjoy driving through the stages in 14 countries.

Those hardcore followers which are looking for richer experience will have WRC 2 and Junior WRC teams and their cars, as well as several historic car racing cars just to make the game more spicy.

WRC 8 is the eighth official title in the series, and it was produced by the developer Kylotonn, who took the franchise in 2015 when WRC 5 appeared.

However, users didn’t give him high marks. Among the problems with poor driver support, lack of some stages and career mode, frustrating co-pilot guidance, and poor car physics.

To be honest, solving the problem of driving dynamics of these powerful cars is indeed a difficult task, and with the help of the most realistic coding, the bad co-pilot or “lifeless” steering wheel can’t be justified.

Bigben, however, thanked everyone for critics of the game, and Kylotonn struggled to improve all aspects of the game, especially control of the vehicle.

Take a look at the official trailer! It looks awesome and very promising!

VR: An Immersive Experience

VR is one of the most interesting aspects about modern day video games. With the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One we have seen consoles carry on doing their thing by bringing big games to players, but it’s been VR that’s separated this generation from the last. Coming in the last year or so, the technology allows someone to become fully immersed into the game they are playing. This adds new layers of playability and experiences that weren’t previously available. It can also enhance and streamline traditional ways of playing, with Lucky Nugget Casino showing how VR can be used with online gambling.

Immersion is key to what makes VR special and how it will make it stand out among other games. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is the most major game to embrace VR and one that does it well. Taking a top series and making the newest instalment not only compatible with VR but making the game with it in mind. Going back to the series survival horror roots for a slow paced and scare thrilled adventure works perfect with Virtual Reality, as it will work in the system and make the horror become more real. This is especially the case as the game is in the first person, so you are inside the game, rather than taking Resident Evil’s usual third-person perspective.

Likewise, Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission opts for immersion rather than frantic gameplay. Traditional X-Wing games, such as Rogue Squadron, have been fast paced arcade style shooters, but with VR working well with slow games, they put you in control of the most lifelike X-Wing experience ever. You have to look around you to spot threats and you have to pilot carefully but you can’t take it too easy as there can be enemies all around you. It’s very much a sim and the VR adds things you could never previously do, with you physically needing to move to observe your surrounding and to press buttons within the cockpit.

VR is not all about games though, but the immersion is just as important for other uses. Like Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-wing VR Mission you can be placed in the seat of something but lean back and enjoy the ride, and that’s what a roller-coaster VR game can do. As you can see in this video, the experience can be very realistic, pushing the limits and excitement of what you feel. Hooking up to a VR machine may seem less stressful than getting on a real roller-coaster, but those people in the video would quickly disagree.

VR could soon be a new type of fun for everyone. Whether it’s space combat, surviving a haunted house, a roller-coaster, swimming the ocean, going into deep space or whatever, the digital immersion will create new memories and experiences without us even needing to leave our homes.

Human Heights and What we Have Achieved so far – Mind versus Machine

Human seem to be rather obsessed with getting high. We persevered until we invented a flying machine, keep building bigger and bigger skyscrapers and some even seem to enjoy jumping off cliffs. There are even those that jumped from space to earth.

However, is it our bodies that are better ay achieving these things or is it engineering prowess that allows us to achieve the most? Is it mind or machine that wins in the height battle. Niftylift, the cherry picker manufacturer have put together a list of heights that have been achieved by engineering and endeavour.

Heights Achieved through Skill:

Vertical Jump – the highest was 1.616m by Evan Ungar, according to the Guidness Book of Records

High Jump – this was 2.45m by Javier Sotomayor

Tallest Man – At 2.72m Robert Wadlow is the tallest recorded man

BASE Jump – In 2013 Valery Rozov jumped from the north face of Mt. Everest which was the highest BASE jump ever recorded at 7220 meters.

Mountain Ascent – The summit of Mt. Everest is the highest any human has climbed which is 8.848 meters

Manned Balloon Flight – The highest manned balloon flight got up to 34668m. This was achieved by Victor A. Prather Jr and Malcolm Ross in a zero-pressure balloon.

South Park Slots – How Rude Is It?

South Park is a real power house of a TV show. Love it or hate it, this animated cartoon for adults has always awed, entertained and in parts grossed out its audience thanks to the insane amount of sarcasm, dirty jokes and foul language, while still managing to convey meaningful messages about important events. The show has its fair share of games as well, including a very popular casino slot. It is highly unlikely that more fun cannot be had on a mobile phone than the slot at hand.

The show’s success has spawned a number of feature length movies as well as countless different form of media and entertainment, including a very successful video game by Obsidian Entertainment called South Park – The Stick of Truth.

southpark01
Speaking of games, fans of the show and slots in general have the option of trying out the excellent South Park themed slot. It is a 5 reel, 25 pay-line video slot that is borrowing heavily form the themes that permeate the show, including the four main character – Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman.

Visually the slot is very South Park-like – everything is made in the TV show’s cartoonish card board cut out style with the animations, reels and symbols borrowing from the show’s aesthetics. Yes it is rough and it is kind of out of place at times but so is the show and in there lies its charm.

You will hear the characters speaking their trade mark lines like Kyle and Stan’s: “OMG, they killed Kenny. You bastards!”, and many more, which are intended for adult audiences only.

southpark02
The slot has 4 distinct bonus games which can be triggered with the wilds symbol and each is unique to the character at hand. Kyle’s bonus stage involves him kicking his brother Aik (Kick the baby) in order to score a multiplier or bonus points.

Play the South Park slot with free spins here.

Stan’s bonus game is also pretty funny (and grows) and involves maintaining Stan’s puke towards his girlfriend Wendy (the longer he pukes, the bigger the bonus). Kenny’s bonus game has the player trying to guide Kenny across the street without dying (to clarify, this character dies all the time and the show yet is always present for the next episode).

Last but not least, Cartman’s stage is the most fun and most hilarious – as an avid hippie hater, Cartman goes on a stroll against the diehard hippies that invade South Park (similarly like in the 127 episode of the show named “Die Hippie Die. Cartman scores extra points for fumigating the hippies with “higher cred” (College knows it all hippies and more).

To say that South Park the video slot isn’t rude would be an understatement but that is part of what makes it so great. If you are a fan of the TV show and you love slots than this is a match made in heaven. The art style, the use of the authentic voices and music and the clip from the show are all great, as well as the bonus stages. You just can’t go wrong by playing it.

A Brief Look at Lotteries Near and Far!

How good would it feel to win the lottery? Do you know what you’d do first? Some of us dream about finally telling that pesky boss what to do and where to go (but have some sense, because you never know what you might need in the future). Others dream about finally travelling the world in style and giving their friends something to be jealous about. Other people don’t want the publicity, but they have a few ideas about where they want to keep their money for a while. It’s all about perspective. But if you’re interested in lottery games, we have a few for you to check out. Lotteries near and far cover so many different games that all have the same underlying format: if you get the numbers you picked drawn, you win a prize. Naturally, some prizes are going to be bigger than others. We pulled together a list of some awesome jackpots, and figured you might be interested in checking them out.

1. EuroMillions

euromillions
OK, so we’re kind of cheating here: this lottery is so massive that it covers more than one country. It actually covers Spain, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the UK, and France. The top prize for EuroMillions is absolutely huge, with a recent winner walking away with over 132 million euros! That’s a great top prize to get, and the winner will most likely be hiring the best of the best to manage those funds!

2. SuperEnalotto

Superenalotto
Italy isn’t just known for amazing pasta and even more incredible desserts; good lottery games reign supreme here as well. You can play EuroMillions, but you can also play the SuperEnalotto. There’s millions of euros at stake with a top prize of over 80 million euros going on currently. If you really wanted to try your luck, this would be a great lottery to look at more closely.

3. 6 out of 49

Lotto 6/49
Germany doesn’t like to be outdone by other countries, so they came out with their own lottery. It’s called Lotto 6aus49, and as the name might reveal, it’s all about picking six lucky numbers. The top prize isn’t as huge as the other lotteries, but it’s still more than enough money to help you achieve just about any goal. You could go back to school just to learn something new, or open up a restaurant and have a chance at succeeding. It’s completely up to you.

4. The 49s – 6 ball Lottery fun

The 49s - 6 ball Lottery fun
If you want to keep things local to the UK, why not play the 49s? It’s a great lotto that sets you up for a good win, without taking up too much money. After all, lottery is a game of chance and the only way to get a chance at the big prize is to take a leap of faith. It’s not going to bankrupt you, and even if you don’t win, life will go on. But there’s something about the lottery that makes us secretly hope that we become the lucky winner, even if we don’t want to admit that part.

5. El Gordo de Navidad

El Gordo de Navidad
Spain has a few lotteries, but we had to mention the Sorteo Extraordinario de Navidad. It’s usually just called El Gordo de Navidad, and it is a massive lottery. The prize can be huge, but the way this game is set up will blow your mind. See, it’s not a typical lottery format. You get pre-generated tickets and the drawing is held once a year. It’s a massive event in Spain, with plenty of people showing up to see how much they’ve won or if they won anything at all. Tons of prizes are given out, and there’s food and festivities. Two balls are drawn: one that says how many prizes there are, and the other that lists how many tickets can win. It can get complicated and take hours, but everyone is a good sport about it at least.

Bonus Lottery: The French Loto

If you want a lottery that gets played multiple times a week, look no further than the French Loto. Yes, we spelled that right. The setup is easy: you have to pick five numbers, then you get a “chance number”. This is between 1 and 10, and can give you what you need to unlock the big jackpot. At least 2 million euros are up for grabs, and the number increases over and over again each time someone doesn’t win.

Exploring the different lotteries around the region can be a look into not only winning money, but learning more about the cultural traditions of a nation. The lottery is something that we can all relate to. At the end of the day, our similarities far outweigh our differences.

On The Road Again: How To Keep Occupied While You Travel

Traveling is one leisure activities that allows us to see places where we’ve never been to. Whether you’re driving on a road trip across the country or flying off to another destination, there are loads of exciting and entertaining ways you can pass the time while being on the road. Here are some of the ways on how you can keep occupied while you’re traveling from one point to another:

Suck in the scenery

People travel to see places and things. Sometimes it’s not the destination that matters, but the journey that you take to get to the places you’ve wanted to see. Driving can be a meditative activity. If you’re going on a solo road trip, it’s best to see the views and scenery around you. Some find it appealing to go travel to far-off places just to see and feel the scenery as the car moves along. Take in the scenery and just meditate about the important aspects that matter to you.

Play road games

Classic road games such as iSpy and playing car bingo can be really fun if you’re traveling with friends. One way to keep occupied during a long trip is to prepare a set of easy-to-play games that you can do whenever you’re bored. If you’re not the one who’s driving, better charge up your phone and stuff it with games and apps that can keep you entertained throughout the trip.

Keep the ears busy

If you can’t stand silences, there are a number of available podcasts and audiobooks that can make your travel time more bearable. Last year’s hit podcast series, Serial, is a great example of the podcast medium being used to tell a compelling story. If audiobooks and podcasts aren’t your thing, it’s best to setup a playlist featuring some of your favorites. Nothing feels better than belting out your favorite song while feeling the wind in your hair.

Make friends

Whether you’re traveling alone or you’re in the company of your friends, it’s always best to make friends along the way. Hitchhikers can be dangerous, so we recommend using the latest apps that can match you with credible people that can ride along with you. Carpooling apps like Uber and Tripda not only makes the long travel more bearable, it also brings you closer to people that can join in for your big journey.

Make quick stops

Driving can be a long, arduous task that can take hours upon hours of just highways and country roads. One way to make any trip exciting is to drop by important locales and roadside attractions like quirky sights and brand new casinos to make the traveling period more bearable. Even though it can make your journey a tad bit longer, the fact that you’re gathering experiences and seeing new places makes the trip more worthy of the hassles.

Can you think of other ways to keep occupied while you’re spending time on the road? There are endless possibilities out there and it’s up to you to discover brand new faces and places as you go along your travels. Always remember to keep safe while you’re on the road!
