Fresh from ProgressPlay Comes PlayCasinoGames.com

The ProgressPlay network has recently expanded to accommodate several new operators, the latest of which is called PlayCasinoGames.com. On closer inspection, it’s plain to see that the site is part of a new breed of online casinos that aim to appeal to fans of casino games, slots, and scratch cards with busy lifestyles. This is one of the key reasons that PlayCasinoGames.com is such an exciting find, as players who don’t like to be tied to desktop casinos can easily take their favourite casino games like roulette, blackjack, and baccarat out with them when they’re on the move.

With the growing number of online and mobile casinos that are emerging, and operators often trying to out do each other with their incentives, it can be hard for players to know which sites are worth signing up at and which should be avoided at all costs. Luckily, with PlayCasinoGames.com, UK players will be in very good hands as the ProgressPlay network has formed an impressive list of partnerships over the years, and has agreements in place with some of the world’s most respected gaming suppliers, including Microgaming, Cryptologic, Genesis Gaming, Rabcat, NextGen, Quickspin, Elk Studios, 2 By 2, and Leander. Therefore, new members can look forward to an unbeatable choice of casino games, slots and scratch cards, an extremely stable playing platform, high levels of security and privacy thanks to the latest 28-bit SSL encryption and firewall technology, and the stamp of approval from both the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.

It’s also worth noting that the team behind PlayCasinoGames.com are no strangers to the casino games and bingo industry. In fact, they have a wealth of experience tucked under their belts and have achieved impressive levels of success with sites such as Mad About Bingo and Mad About Casinos. The company’s knowledge certainly seems to have given them the edge on other newcomers to the online and mobile casino games scene. Just one such example of this is the fact that PlayCasinoGames.com has been created using HTML5 so that the mobile version of the site is responsive to any screen size and device type. This also saves players from having to locate and download a specific iOS or Android application before they can commence playing, and has the added benefit of not eating into precious disk space.

The majority of games at this exciting, new casino can be played in both fun and demo modes. This gives players an excellent opportunity to try titles like roulette, baccarat, and blackjack out for size before committing to playing with real money. However, those who are keen to start playing with their funds as quickly as possible for a chance to win cash prizes will be generously awarded a 100% welcome bonus worth up to £200.

History of Online Casinos

It can be easy to think that online casinos have always been around, because there are so many of them. However, they are actually quite a recent thing, not starting until the middle of the 1990’s. It was not only legal restrictions that prevented this from happening before but also that the technology was not advanced enough. Then software was developed to make it possible for casino games to be played online.

In Antigua and Barbuda a law was passed to allow businesses to apply for licences to become online casinos. This started a growing trend and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission was established in Canada to issue gaming licences. It was just after this in 1996 when the first gaming sites opened. Some of the first ones were GamingClub and Intercasino.

After this there were many more casino websites appearing. By the end of 1996 there were around fifteen and then by 1997 there were 200. Revenues from the sites was large as well being estimated to be over $800m in 1998 alone. Continue reading History of Online Casinos

Is Vine Dying?

When Vine peaked in popularity with the general masses in 2013, it was everywhere. You couldn’t go on Facebook without seeing a couple of Funny Vines in your newsfeed. So, where has all the popularity gone? Is Vine dying off just because the initial ‘shock factor’ has worn off? The short answer is no.

A large majority of people don’t realize that Vine was actually founded in 2012 by a few independent developers named Dom Hofmann, Rus Yusupov and Colin Kroll. At this point in time, not many people had heard of the social network and it wasn’t until Twitter bought them out for $30 million that more people started to take notice. Ever since then, Vine has become Twitter’s new baby and they are showering it with attention. According to Alexa, Twitter is the 8th biggest website in the world, and has only gained popularity since it’s inception. It does not seem likely that such a huge corporation would let it’s newest acquisition die off, especially when it has found such a strong niche among teenagers. Instagram has even tried to replicate the success of Vine with 15 second long Instagram Videos, but hasn’t seemed to be able to reproduce the same magic of the 7-second video looping community. That Music Stuck In Your Head? It’s Probably From a Video Game!

Music has been an integral part of video games since the medium was invented. And, as the games and culture surrounding them have evolved, so have their soundtracks and the appreciation that people have for them.
Skeptical? In 2012, IGN Reported that the soundtrack for Halo 4 sold nine thousand copies within a week of its release and even managed to crack Billboard’s top 200. (Source: IGN, Halo 4 Soundtrack Becomes Highest Charting Game Album Ever)

An Industry Insight: Will Gamers Suffer in the Bid for Mobile Exclusivity?

On a fundamental level, the commercial concept of exclusivity may not seem particularly appealing to business-owners. After all, taking the decision to partner exclusively with a specific supplier or retailer requires you to drastically limit your potential consumer base, while also forcing you to lose a semblance of control in terms of how your product is marketed, packaged and sold.

In instances where leading international brands are prepared to pay handsomely for such loyalty, however, exclusivity can suddenly seem far more appealing. This is certainly the case in the mobile gaming industry at present, where technological giants Google and Apple are competing for exclusive rights to major titles within the international market.
