This is Why PC Gaming is Becoming More Popular
With the seeming dominance of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when it comes to gaming, you would be forgiven for thinking that the PC gamer was a dying breed. Thankfully it appears that this isn’t the case, as gamers begin to understand the nature of the evolving gaming technology at their disposal.
The so called “next generation” consoles when released were already flagging when it came to pure gaming power. With more and more games being released that weren’t hitting that 60FPS and 1080P requirement, many wanted to know why? The answer to that of course is hardware, and this is where PC gaming is gaining an edge.
Gaming now is moving into an era where 4K will be the buzzword and the frames-per-second show on screen will be above the magical 60FPS. While consoles can’t deliver this yet, the PC can. With the release of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 cards, we are also seeing just what the future of gaming is, a future that consoles can touch, just yet. This will of course change with Xbox’s Scorpio and PlayStation’s competitor which are thought to be due at the end of 2017.
Another aspect of PC gaming is its versatility in the games it can play. Whether you want to enhance skills with bingo sites, or want to play the latest Triple-A classic like Overwatch, the PC can do this. It can also be mobile if that is your choice by the use of a gaming laptop. If you have the money, then PC gaming does not limit you to what you can do.
There are of course drawbacks to PC gaming, and it has seen some controversial releases such as Batman: Arkham Knight, and Assassin’s Creed: Unity. These games were broken on release, which is something you don’t get with console releases. Which is why many preferring the world of console gaming, it is easier.
If you are up to the challenge of PC gaming though, it will always be there, offering you control of your gaming experience. It may not be as controlled as the console world, but when it all fits together and you are playing a game at its highest settings, PC gaming cannot be beaten.
